City Parks & Facilities

 
The City of Bakersfield Recreation and Parks Department oversees 53 parks including the Park at Riverwalk and the Kern River Parkway, a 30-mile paved bike path stretching from Interstate 5 in the west to the Kern River Canyon in the east. In addition, the department is responsible for athletic facilities including the Saunders Multi-Use Facility and six city pools.
